We Rolled, They Baked, We ate.

What’s better on a Sunday afternoon than learning about, making and consuming pretzels? Not much. Ever since going to Munich last year to visit The McNicks, I’ve had a small obsession with pretzels. Jen, best as I can tell, has more than a small obsession…it’s starting to worry me.

We rolled.

Here in Columbus we have a small company (two women) called Brēzel Pretzels that create and sell wonderful Bavarian style pretzels. They have everything from traditional salted to S’More stuffed…the latter of which I have only dreamed of trying. This summer I bought a few at the Clintonville Farmers Market and turned them in to butterbreze, a pretzel cut in half and layered with butter. Heaven is apparently fat and carbs.

They baked.

Today Jen and I had a chance to visit Wild Goose Creative for their monthly series “Too Many Cooks”. It brings together local experts in creating eats, treats or drinks, and pairs them with a small gathering of people who want to learn and create. Today it was Brēzel Pretzels that brought us in, and the experience that will bring us back.

We ate.

So many great people in Columbus doing really interesting things…thank goodness for the interwebs, and it’s ability to connect us, with them.
