In Mansfield we have a great 47 acre estate-turned-garden called Kingwood Center. After Thanksgiving, the family decided to visit and see what might be out for the upcoming holiday display. We were a bit late in the day do see the indoor bits, but we did take a nice stroll around the grounds.
Kingwood Center was built in 1926 for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelley King and opened to the public in 1953. Mr. King made his zillions at Ohio Brass, starting as an electrician and ending as Chairman of the Board. Today there are several seasonal gardens, greenhouses and terraces open year round for your viewing pleasure. Worth the drive from far and wide, certainly from anywhere in this fine state.
