Pink-sanity - 2012 Race for the Cure
It was a beautiful day today for the Komen Race for the Cure here in Columbus-town. Nearly 50,000 participants unleashed a pink swarm on downtown. Miss Davis and I decided to walk, not run, this year, so I was able to take my camera up and get some snaps. Starting at Front and Broad. Along Long Street. Ping dogs even. A sea of people at the finish line and looking uptown. This is...

What to do...
My old Nikon D300 sitting on my desk at home… She’s getting a deserved rest as the next generation has come to take her place. I’m not sure if I’ll find the old girl a new home, or keep her around “just in case”.

I see dead people?
Jen and I are just returning from a lovely spring break trip to the Carolinas. We spent a few days in Charleston, and a few days in North Carolina visiting my parents. Sorting and editing vacation pictures is always a long and laborious task, so I decided to get a jump start and began combing through them today. I came across a couple of pictures I took on our last day in Charleston that...

Take me to The Arcade
I had a chance to visit Cleveland this past weekend for the Frozen Diamond Faceoff, an outdoor Ohio State/Michigan hockey game. The Buckeyes got owned, but it didn’t stop a great weekend from being had. Mike, James, and I took a short walk around a Cleveland marvel of architecture called The Arcade. It currently is owned and operated by Hyatt, and is the home of the first Hyatt Regency....

Truffula Trees
These lovely trees along the coast line of Dunedin, Florida remind me of the Truffula Trees in the famous Dr. Seuss book The Lorax. It’s mostly in their physical appearance, less so their symbolic nature of the state of the earth and how we choose to inhabit it. On that note, I do whole heartily recommend the book if you need a good kick in the pants to help you “do the right...

King's Mansion
In Mansfield we have a great 47 acre estate-turned-garden called Kingwood Center. After Thanksgiving, the family decided to visit and see what might be out for the upcoming holiday display. We were a bit late in the day do see the indoor bits, but we did take a nice stroll around the grounds. Kingwood Center was built in 1926 for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelley King and opened to the public...
